Great For Beginners Thru Advanced Trainers. I started my dog
Magic with Jeanne Cook when she was 6 months old. She is now 4 and has her CGC, one obedience title, two rally titles and
is a registered therapy dog. Jeanne breaks out obedience exercises so that they are fun for the handler and dog. This keeps

Fun Training Sessions! Jeanne Cook makes training fun for you and for your dog. My Doberman,
Joy has completed her C.D. obedience title and Canine Good Citizen test. We are now working with Jeanne so that we can complete
in Open and Utility. Jeanne works with dogs at all levels, from beginning to advanced, and has written numerous articles and
a book on dog temperament, health and soundness. She has worked with so many dogs of different breeds, that she understands
all sorts of temperaments, and can help the owner channel the dogs’ energy in a positive direction. She has a great
eye for assessing the little unconscious signals that I send to my dog and makes me aware of how I could sharpen up my practice

Awesome Experience. When I got my first puppy I knew that I wanted to get him into obedience classes
right away...I drove from Lafayette, CO to Lakewood,
CO just for this class and it was so great not only for my dog but for me as well. My puppy was pretty rowdy to say
the least and now he is almost a year and a half and I continue to use the techniques that I learned in the Beginning Obedience
class. He is a completely different dog, I am so glad that I came to this class. I would recommend Jeanne to anyone, especially
those who are using treat based methods and it's not working because this class works! Not only does your dog learn a lot

An Excellent Dog Trainer And Teacher. I am currently attending Jeanne Cook's Beginning obedience
class with my Standard Poodle Rigatoni. In just a few lessons the results have been outstanding. Jeanne's teaching techniques
are excellent for both the dog and handler. She makes it interesting and fun for both. I especially like that her techniques
are gentle and don't involve constant rewarding with treats. As Rigatoni is proof that you can accomplish the same things
without turning your dog into a chow hound
that will only do what he is told because he thinks a treat is coming. Once we have completed her beginning training
course we will be looking forward to and enrolling in Jeanne's advanced obedience classes. I would highly recommend

Tremendous Learning Experience. I took my one year old Doberman to Jeanne to work on healing and
sit stay. I was amazed at how quickly my dog picked up the training with Jeanne's guidance. She knows how to get the best
out of both dog and owner. I will return to her for future sessions and would without hesitation recommend her to others.

Amazing Experience. My dog Buddy and I attended Beginning and Advanced training classes and we had so much fun! I never thought my dog could
be trained to do the things he learned in class. Buddy loves to do his recalls, especially when we have company. Everyone

Start with the Best; forget all the rest. I have been to several classes with Jeanne and her assistant Maude. My dogs just loved going to class and all the mental and physical stimulation was so good for them and for their master too. We can go on walks now and be well behaved. Hi, my name is Pippin and I'm a Sheltie.
My mom enrolled me in Jeanne's Beginning Obedience class. My first day was pretty exciting. I was very worried about going
into a new place and I wasn't too sure about strangers either. I barked at Jeanne and tried to put some distance between
us. I thought she was very scary, but after my first day I decided that she was okay. Now I'm really excited to see
her and play with her before class. I like doing my obedience lessons. We practice in the back yard and on long walks.

"I took Jeanne's basic obedience class for our newly-adopted dog, Captain (2-year-old Schipperke mix), whom we got from the Denver Dumb Friends League. When we first adopted Captain, he was very wild in nature (a lot of jumping, barking, pulling at the leash when walking and did not know any basic obedience commands). After taking Jeanne's 6-week beginner class, Captain was able to learn how to think. It was amazing! With each class we took my husband, Sly, & I noticed how much smarter Captain was becoming regarding being an obedient dog. We also had a HUGE problem with Captain bolting out the front door into the street whenever the door was opened. Captain also had a problem with jumping on my husband, me and the kids whenever he would greet us. Jeanne taught us how to be good masters when working with Captain on his training. The result: Captain knows sit-stay (off leash), down-stay (off leash) and the biggest accomplishment for us is that Captain now knows his name and comes to us when we call him! Also, Captain bolting out the front door is no longer an issue for us. Jeanne taught us valuable techniques to curb Captain's running, which has saved his life. We no longer have the fear of Captain running out the front door into traffic and being struck by a car. Captain understands that he is a part of our family and he learned to be a thinking dog, which has changed our relationship with him dramatically. My husband and I feel that we have some control over our dog instead of always feeling like we have a "wild animal" in our house. And, Captain also loves the attention he receives when he does obey commands. Jeanne has taught us as masters to give out more petting as rewards versus treats; the petting yields much better results! He works for praise, which is AWESOME!! Though Captain has more to learn, the knowledge we gained from Jeanne's class has done wonders for Captain's behavior. Our friends notice how much calmer and well-behaved he is now compared to when we first got him. Another HUGE bonus is that Captain knows how to heel properly on the leash, which means NO MORE PULLING! Captain has learned to walk like a pedigreed dog and he knows it also! What a great feeling to walk our dog and our mutt is better trained than a pedigreed breed walking nearby!
